About SkyPilot

AI teams end up with GPUs spread across several clouds, Kubernetes clusters and Slurm systems, each with its own setup, so moving jobs between them and keeping GPUs busy takes a lot of manual work.

Who it’s for

  • ML engineers and researchers who launch training and inference jobs on GPUs from several providers
  • Infrastructure teams that want one control plane, quotas and scheduling across their GPU clusters

When to consider it

Consider SkyPilot when your GPUs are spread across clouds, Kubernetes and Slurm clusters and you want one way to launch, queue and recover jobs on all of them.

Tradeoffs & limitations

  • The open-source project is Apache-2.0 licensed and bring-your-own-cloud: everything is launched in your own cloud accounts, VPCs and clusters, so you still pay those providers for compute.
  • The managed SkyPilot Platform and its enterprise options (SSO, private VPC or air-gapped deployment) are obtained through a demo request, and no public price list is published on the site. Sandboxes were announced as early access in June 2026.
