writenode
A Chrome extension and web app that capture pages, highlights and notes, then answer questions using your saved context.
About writenode
Useful research and AI answers get scattered across browser tabs and separate conversations.
Who it’s for
- People researching and taking notes in Chrome
- Builders who want to revisit saved ideas across conversations
When to consider it
Consider writenode when you want page capture, connected notes and an assistant that can draw on your saved browser research.
Tradeoffs & limitations
- The Free plan includes notes, auto-tagging and a knowledge graph; Pro costs $24 per month or $199 per year and adds unlimited AI conversations, semantic and web search, and voice dictation and read-aloud. A $129 one-time Local-First licence uses your own AI key.
- Hosted AI and memory features send relevant content to service providers; bringing your own AI key does not make the whole product local.
