Consider Opper when you need a GDPR-compliant gateway hosted in Stockholm that routes to EU model endpoints, stores no prompts or responses by default, and lets you set budgets, allowlists, PII checks and fallback routes per organisation.
Tradeoffs & limitations
- Pay-as-you-go with a platform fee on top of provider rates: 3% on the Gateway plan and 5.5% on the Control Plane plan (which adds organisation budgets, model allowlists and rules); Enterprise is a custom contract.
- Sign-up needs no credit card and gives access to free models, but premium models require adding a card; LLM checks are billed at a flat rate per check on top of the platform fee.
