ElevenReader
ElevenLabs' read-aloud app for web, iOS, Android and Chrome that turns uploaded PDFs, DOCX, EPUB, Markdown and TXT files and articles into AI narration, with 1,000+ voices in 90+ languages and a built-in audiobook library.
About ElevenReader
Long documents, articles and books that have no audiobook edition can only be read on screen, which is hard when your eyes are busy or reading itself is difficult.
Who it’s for
- People who want to listen to PDFs, articles, web novels or research papers while commuting, exercising or doing chores
- Readers with dyslexia, ADHD or low vision who rely on natural-sounding text-to-speech
When to consider it
Consider ElevenReader when you want ElevenLabs voices to read your own files aloud on phone, web and Chrome, plus an Ultra option that adds a premium audiobook catalogue, offline downloads and custom voices.
Tradeoffs & limitations
- The Free plan includes 10 hours of text-to-audio a month. Ultra is $11 a month, or $8.25 a month billed annually; its "unlimited" listening for imported content is a fair-use cap of 24 hours of generated audio per day, premium audiobooks are limited to 20 hours a month, and offline downloads to 150 hours a month.
- Generated audio cannot be exported or shared outside the app; offline downloads stay inside ElevenReader and are kept for up to 60 days. Ultra cannot be shared with other accounts.
