Aftershoot
Desktop app for photographers that uses AI to cull, edit and retouch whole shoots in their own style, then deliver them through client galleries.
About Aftershoot
After a wedding or event, photographers spend many hours picking keepers from thousands of frames and then applying a consistent edit and retouch to every image.
Who it’s for
- Wedding, event and portrait photographers processing large shoots
- Photographers who want AI edits trained on their own past edits or Lightroom presets
When to consider it
Consider Aftershoot when you want one app on macOS or Windows to group duplicates and pick selects, train an AI profile on your own edits, batch-retouch skin, glare and backgrounds, and export to Lightroom, Capture One, Bridge or Adobe Camera Raw, with processing done offline on your machine.
Tradeoffs & limitations
- Pricing is flat rather than per image, after a 30-day free trial with no credit card: Select (culling) is $15 a month billed monthly or $10 a month billed yearly, Edit $35 or $30, Retouch $25 or $20, and the Complete bundle $55 or $45. The annual plan billed monthly ($50 for Complete) has a $30 fee if cancelled in the first six months.
- It is a desktop app for macOS Catalina or later and Windows 8 or later, and needs at least a 4-core CPU and 8 GB of RAM.
