The short answer
All three turn a description into a working app and start free. Lovable and Bolt both start at $25 a month and let unused credits or tokens roll over; v0 starts at $30 per user and is built around Vercel deployment. Choose Lovable for unlimited team members on one plan, Bolt for a generous free token allowance, and v0 if you already deploy on Vercel.
| Decision | Lovable | Bolt | v0 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free plan | Yes, with free monthly grants | Yes: 1M tokens a month, 300K a day | Yes: $5 of credits a month |
| Cheapest paid plan | $25 a month | $25 a month | $30 per user a month |
| Unused allowance | Credits roll over for one month | Unused tokens roll over | Not stated on the pricing page |
| Teams | Unlimited users on paid plans | Team plan priced per member | Priced per user |
| Best fit | Teams iterating on full apps together | Prototypes and sites with a free tier to start | Projects that will deploy on Vercel |
What each one is
Lovable is an AI development platform for creating and iterating on web applications through natural-language requests and editable code. Bolt builds websites, apps and prototypes from descriptions. v0 is Vercel's builder for interfaces and full-stack applications from prompts, wireframes and mockups.
All three produce real code you can inspect. Generated apps still need testing and a security review before they handle customer data.
Pricing and allowances
Lovable and Bolt both start at $25 a month on monthly billing, with discounts on annual plans. v0's paid plan is $30 per user a month and includes $30 of credits per user plus a small daily credit on login.
Allowances work differently. Bolt meters tokens, Lovable and v0 meter credits. Lovable says credits roll over for one month and Bolt says unused tokens roll over; v0's pricing page does not say.
Working as a team
Lovable's paid plans include unlimited users, so a team shares one credit pool. Bolt and v0 charge per member or per user, which makes costs grow with the team but gives each person their own allowance.
How to choose
Build the same small app in each, with one form, one database table and one login, and compare how much you had to fix by hand. Then estimate a month of your real usage against each plan's allowance.
